As the TIME clock ticks on---------------- we laugh, talk and smile, and the outside elements leave their mark our skin, which inevitably starts to crease. Very fine lines can be improved with Intense Pulsed Light Photofacials and Microdermabrasion. Deeper lines can be smoothed out with Botox alone or by combining Botox with other safe fillers.

Restylane and Perlane contain Hyaluronic Acid, which is naturally present in the body to retain moisture and lubricate the joints. Hyaluronic acid in Restylane/Perlane is a non-animal derived, stabilized manmade compound and no pre-testing is required before injection.

The injected Hyaluronic acid works in conjunction with body's own Hyaluronic acid to restore the volume required for correction of wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes, forehead and laugh lines. Restylane/Perlane can also be used for facial contouring or to add volume to the lips.

Our Juvederm treatments are non-surgical and the results are immediate. The results usually vary for each individual and can last from anywhere between six months to a year.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. What is Restylane/Perlane used for?

Restylane and Perlane are injectables which are used primarily to smooth out wrinkles and fine lines. They are also used to fill depressed areas such as prominent smile lines and to provide lip enhancement. The vermillion border can be redefined, eliminating fine lines responsible for "bleeding" lipstick.

2- What are the differences between Collagen and Restylane?

Collagen is a sterile, processed protein whereas both Restylane/Perlane are purified Hyaluronic Acid (a polysaccharide-sugar).

3- Is skin testing required before injectables?

With collagen injectables, skin testing is required to check for allergic reactions. Neither Restylane nor Perlane require pre-testing.

4- What type of lines & wrinkles can be treated?

Common areas to be treated are the glabellar lines (between eyebrows), nasolabial folds (smile line) and wrinkles around the lips.

5- What is the treatment like?

Treatments are very simple and quick with no downtime and results can be seen instantaneously. No anesthesia is required.

6- How long does the effect of the fillers last?

The duration of the effect varies for different people. Generally the effect last for about six to nine months.
